Directions To Narnia on Glen Lake

From Traverse City

Travel west on Rte M-72 out of Traverse City for 17 miles to Plowman Road (Co. Road 675) and turn right.

Follow Plowman Road (north) about 2.5 miles until it ends on at MacFarlane Road (Co. Road 616). Turn right on MacFarlane Road and proceed about 1/4 mile to 5284 MacFarlane Road. Narnia on Glen Lake will be on your left. You will also see a large sign for one of our neighbors saying "Toad Hall" as well as the Narnia lampost.  Turn left into the shared driveway. After going over the bridge bear to the right and proceed to the house.

From Toledo, Ohio area

• Take US 23 north
  Stay on US 23 North in Michigan until it joins I-75 at Flint (this by-passes the Detroit area).
• I-75 north in Michigan
  Follow I-75 until Bay City
• US-10 north-west
  Take US-10 north-west (a clover leaf exit to the right). Just past Claire, I-10 will end.
• Michigan State Route M-115 north-west
  Continue on M-115 heading north-west. Go through Cadillac, which is about 1 hour from Glen Lake..
• Co Rd 677 north
  Exit M-115 about 1/2 hour after Cadillac to the right (going north) on Weldon. Weldon Road can be tricky to find.  It is about 4 miles after you pass through the town of Copemish and is a short distance after passing over the Betsie River.  It is also County Road 677.  If you reach the Crystal Mountain Ski Resort, you have gone about a mile too far. Though the road name will change, continue to follow Co Rd 677 north about 11.5 miles.   When this intersects Michigan Route 31, turn left on M-31 toward Honor. Proceed about about 1/2 mile until County Road 677 turns right (north) again and is called Ely Road.  There is a large,  white-painted county building at the corner where you turn. Continue to follow County Road 677  another 11.5 miles as it changes road names until you get to M-72.
• Turn right (east) on M-72.
  Proceed for 2 miles to Plowman Road (Co. Road 675) and turn left (north) onto Plowman Road
• Proceed using the second paragraph of directions from Traverse City, above.

From Chicago area

• Take I-94 East into Michigan
  US-31 North will join I-94 Near St. Joesph/Benton Harbor Michigan.
• Take  US-31 North
  Just past Benton Harbor, I-94 will go East.  You should exit and follow US-31 North.
  US-31 and I-196 will be the same road at this point.  Continue on US-31 at Holland where I-196  separates.
  Continue on US-31 through Holland, past Muskegon, past Ludington, through Manistee, through Bear Lake, through Beulah and through Honor.  Just after "downtown" Honor take
• Co. Rd. 677 north.
  Turn left onto Co. Rd. 677.  The road is also called Ely Road.  There is a large,  white-painted county maintenance building at the corner just beyond where you turn. Continue to follow County Road 677 about 11.5 miles as it changes road names until you get to M-72.
• Turn right (east) on M-72.
  Proceed 2 miles to Plowman Road (Co. Road 675) and turn left (north) onto Plowman Road
• Proceed using the second paragraph of directions from Traverse City, above.
